I usually don’t make New Year’s resolutions because I always believed if you want to do something just do it, but I have been reading a lot of books of successful people based on their lives and one thing they almost all have in common is the quote “Thoughts become things”. Thoughts become things means what’s in your head is what you perceive around you. So basically, think positive and you will perceive a situation as positive. One positive thought most likely generates another and creates a cycle of positivity but it’s the same way for a negative mindset.
So this leads to my first resolution. Stop procrastinating. Procrastination is my biggest problem and I procrastinate everything. I push back homework, working out, writing, and even sleep. I’ve deleted some apps on my phone I use to procrastinate, and I have been trying to work on a routine for each day so I can stay busy. I know this isn’t something I can overcome easily but it isn’t a short-term goal.
My second resolution is to go to travel to more. Whether I’m taking a vacation with family or traveling to events with friends. I always have a good time traveling. Meeting people from different places and seeing the different ways people live their lives is always entertaining.
My final resolution is, be my best self. This is including all the generic things like working out more, being more social and taking more chances in life all that fun stuff.
